How to Correct the Qibla Direction
Many mosques in Indonesia have less precise qibla direction. The deviations of qibla direction can reach up to seven degrees. Whereas, every one degree of deviation causes an error from the location of the Kaaba up to 150 km on either side of the left or right. By using google map, I explained how to make corrections to the qibla direction of the existing mosques. I published this simple work in Ta’allum: Jurnal Pendidikan Islam with the title “Metode Praktis Menentukan Arah Kiblat dan Koreksi Arah Kiblat”.
